Unfit

Disclaimer: I was raised in the NYC area around the time that Donald Trump was growing up in Queens and later promoting himself in Manhattan.  No one (NO ONE!) had more press coverage than he did.  Mostly what club he partied at that evening, and who he left the party with.  I am NOT "prejudiced" against Donald Trump, but I am "biased" against him, a HUGE difference.  Why am I biased against him?  Read on for a taste of why.

I will spend no time discussing his serial marriages, his serial divorces, his serial adulteries, the size of his fingers, or his pecker.
I will spend no time discussing all his failed ventures, including multiple casinos fgodsake!, nor his getting rich at the expense of workers whom he stiffed by declaring bankruptcy six or eight times.
I will spend no time listing all the major news sources (newspapers and TV stations) that did NOT endorse him.  Or the few foreign leaders who did endorse him.  Or why everyone seems to disrespect and hate him.
#45 has provided enough sordid material to keep commentators busy for years.  Frankly, it depresses me writing about this ... person.   So, I will make short work of what I have to say.

#45 has always been a self-promoter
  • He spent his early twenties in New York City's Page Six.  “Page Six” is an expression invented by the Brits; it means a gossip column.  He never failed to phone the NYC tabloids to tell them when he would be leaving what club, and they would show up, flashbulbs exploding.  His appearances on TV, his TV shows, even his run for the presidency, were all cases of self-promotion.  The only thing he ever talked about was ... himself.  Trump is a textbook narcissist.  Maybe a "malignant narcissist."
#45 is not a Christian
#45 is not a Republican
  • He registered as a Republican in 1987, a member of the Independence Party (the New York state affiliate of the Reform Party) in 1999, a Democrat in 2001, a Republican in 2009, unaffiliated in 2011, and a Republican in 2012.
  • In 2016, when it became apparent he had a populist following, every one of his rivals for the Republican nomination for president ganged up on him and created the #NeverTrump movement (never ever in the history of major party political primaries).
#45 is not a conservative
  • If conservatives stand for anything, it is small government.  Even adjusted for inflation, no president has ever spent like this one, racking up mind-numbing deficits, even before the two COVID-19 relief packages.
  • He became Pro-Life in 2011.
  • His politics are simple: "what's in it for me?"
  • On the day that he announced his run for president, the NY Daily News printed this ( --> ) cover.
#45 is stupid and he can’t read (an infinite number of sources)
  • Attending a fine private school in Queens, when he was 13 his parents uprooted him and sent him to a military school.  Why would a non-military family send their son off to a military school?  You figure it out.  Hint: no one ever imagined him making the military a career.
  • He transferred to University of Pennsylvania's undergraduate Wharton School.  In 2016, this is what they thought of him.   Look at the link, it's cool!
  • He called Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a poor student, and she called his bluff.  He didn't answer.
  • He has threatened to sue any school that released his school records.  Despite the fact that no school may release a student's information to the public without written permission, period.
  • He speaks at a 4th grade level!  In comparison with other presidential hopefuls in 2016.  In comparison with other presidents back to 1932.
  • Many of his own appointees have called him stupid, an idiot and a moron.
  • He doesn’t read books and some even claim he can’t read.  He dismissed written Briefing Reports on his first day in office in 2016.
#45 is a pathological liar
  • Granted, the Washington Post, the NYTimes, indeed most of the so-called “Main Stream Media” (MSM) detest him (perhaps for good reason) and they will do everything they can to make him look bad.  That doesn’t mean that they deal in untruths.  Indeed, they all have long-term reputations to protect, and they do it by staying factual.  Jeff Bezos' Washington Post really has it in for him.
#45 knows more than anybody, about everything!  And everything he ever said before going presidential

#45 has one cardinal virtue: loyalty.  But it is a one-way virtue, as he demands it of others but gives it to no one.  The loyalty he demands is more accurately called obsequiousness.

#45 has one debate tactic: humiliation, insults and name-calling.

#45 has never performed public service of any kind
  • No need for a citation.
#45 is among the worst presidents in American history, according to historians and professors of history, law and political science.  Some rank and file Americans think he was a good president, but not enough to keep him out of last place among presidents since JFK.

#45 lost the 2020 presidential election
  • Fifty Governors have said so; fifty secretaries of state have said so; state and federal courts have said so in all but one of more than sixty cases his team has brought before them; the Supreme Court has said so (Associate Justice Clarence Thomas suggested that there was a way to force the Court to hear his case, but that he, #45, would not prevail); a significant plurality of over 150 million voters have said so; the Electoral College has said so; his own Attorney General has said so.  Yet!  It is as though the only human we are to trust is the greatest liar in American history!  And tens of millions of Americans support his case against ... everyone else!
Hundreds of books about #45 will be published in the coming years.  Authors whose lives have been dedicated to the study of American history will not look on him with favor.  Books that praise him will sell very well; whether they will be read is another question entirely (one quarter of Americans read zero books / year; that doesn't mean they don't BUY books, and REVIEW them for all to see on Amazon.com).

I am sitting here in the first week of January 2021, watching elected Republican legislators come close to advocating a violent overthrow of the the federal government, not the current one, but the one that will take over on January 20th.  If a Democrat were in the White House, and if the Attorney General were allowed to do his/her job, there would be arrests, and some serious charges.  The very heart of treason is the violent overthrow of the legally constituted government.  They are skating on thin ice.  And so are we all, God help us!

If this piece has any real merit, it is in the links scattered throughout.  Find some time, choose a few, and have a good read.

Addendum: Sunday, 11/19/2023
Look at the date of publication of this piece: January 2nd, 2021, mere days before #45's Insurrection.  As of today, Trump would beat Biden in 2024.  What does this prove?  YOU tell me!!!
